CSR Kendall Pori, CIC, is one of the best customer service representatives in the nation.
Kendall has worked for Protectors Insurance in Medford, Oregon for 30 years. In 2018, she was named one of five finalists for the National Alliance’s 2018 National Outstanding CSR of the Year.
“I love insurance. I love the problem-solving aspect of it and the people. I like helping people with a product they don't really want to buy in the first place...but they have a need. I believe it's our job to help them understand that need.”
Q&A with Kendall Pori, CIC
Q: What's it like to be National Alliance Award Finalist?
A: I am incredibly honored to be chosen for this award in Oregon, and as a national finalist. The essay topic was timely for me, not only professionally, but personally. The award was a true gift to receive while celebrating 30 years at my current job at Protectors, so it is especially meaningful.
Q: How has earning this award changed your career for the better?
A: I believe it is a milestone in my career, similar to achieving the CIC. Rather than being too comfortable in my role, it made me feel challenged to have new goals.
Q: What has your year been like since winning this award?
A: It’s been wonderful! I am blessed to work for such a supportive agency.
Q: What advice do you have for people about pursuing the CSR of the Year?
A: Stretch yourself. The essay process was the best part, because it was a strong reflection of the past, and how I could look forward to the future with fresh ideas. We all need that!
